Boerne Brunch: La Cascada at Tapatio Springs

Tucked back in the hills of Boerne, Texas is the picturesque golf resort and spa Tapatio Springs. Though I do not golf, my hand-eye coordination is zero, I have wanted to explore the area for some time. So when I found out about the hotel’s restaurant I decided to try it our for the most important meal of the day. Brunch.

I decided to drag my boyfriend along with me, who despite living in the Boerne area his whole life, had never been to the resort. We hopped into the 69 Chevy pickup (his  favorite vehicle to drive of late) and headed deeper into the Hill Country.

We had a beautiful drive into the resort, and since it is fall leaves were starting to change.Views like this is why fall is my favorite time of year.

Once we got to the restaurant we were seated immediately right by the large window overlooking the golf course.

I ordered coffee first and it came in this adorable old fashioned coffee pot!

After a good 10 minutes of perusing the menu and being indecisive I finally settled on the Shrimp and Crab Quiche with fresh fruit.

My boyfriend and I shared beignets with strawberry jam.

I tried to snag a picture of his Hill Country Breakfast before he started but he was too quick for me and had already started digging in!

Our meal complete we headed outside to briefly poke around the gold course. We headed for a fire pit I had been eyeing out the window to enjoy the fresh air.

This was one of the most hearty and relaxing brunches I have had for quite some time. I highly recommend talking the drive out to Tapatio Springs and having your next brunch at La Cascada.
