The Dienger Trading Co.
Located on Boerne’s historic Main Street sits the Dienger Trading Company. A beautifully restored 1884 building which crowns the Main Street landscape, the Dienger has an old and charming history that has been beautifully brought back to life in the guise of a coffee shop.
Originally the storefront and home of the family of Joseph Dienger. Later on the building became the home of the Boerne Library. For some time after the Library moved the building sat waiting for a new life. The Dienger Trading Company still holds nods to its heritage, it’s boutique and bookstore harken back to its former incarnations. It was lovingly restored and renovated by its new owners and has quickly become a staple, and dare I say epicenter, of Main Street’s daily activity.

The Dienger’s interior design reflects it’s heritage while still offering a clean modern ascetic.
The Dienger is not just a place to get a fantastic latte, have a relaxing Sunday brunch, or a place where you can entrench yourself in on your laptop for several hours. The Dienger has become the communal living room of the Hill Country, a place where one can come in and feel at home. It fills a space Boerne desperately needed;Â a place where you can enjoy moments with loved ones, a place where my friends and I can sit back for a few hours and discuss what is happening in each others lives, a homey place that offers an elegant ambiance… and it also provides a necessary daily dose of caffeine. Just one of the many reasons why it is one of my favorite spots in Boerne.
